Amanda M. Blake is a cat-loving daydreamer who enjoys geekery of all sorts, from superheroes to horror movies, from urban fantasy to unconventional romance.
She was born and raised in Texas, attended Trinity University in San Antonio, and graduated in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in English, though she also enjoyed her many explorations into gender studies, the social sciences, religion, and geology.
Still in the process of finding her personal normal, she supplements her mild hoarding tendencies and dreams of gothic minimalism with day-job data entry and analysis.
After forays into traditional publishing through other names, she suspects she can better serve her personal writing goals through the control provided and discipline required with self-publishing.
Her first book, YA horror novel Nocturne, debuted Halloween 2017, and she’s in the process of introducing the fairy tale remix Thorns series on Halloween 2018. There’s really no significance to the Halloween release dates. She just likes that time of year.
